Tonight on Intervention the focus will be on 53 year old Richard. Time is of the essence to get this addict into treatment as he suffers from diabetes which puts his life in further jeopardy. Richard has kept a traumatic childhood event secret all his life.
Richard started his addiction downfall by the age of 11, when he first used alcohol to numb the emotional pain. As an adult, he was diagnosed with diabetes, and his health problems were exacerbated by his drug and alcohol abuse.
